We recently visited Paris for five days, staying in the Marais area, near Bastille. Even though this was the beginning of November and not a holiday in France, there were queues everywhere, not least at the few public toilets that exist there! It was my first time in Paris, and I particulary enjoyed the Seine, walking alongside it and travelling on the boat buses. But I did prefer Amsterdam which we visited the same time last year.
This is another etching that is mainly soft ground. It’s Prussian Blue on white fabriono paper and measures 14.5 x 18 cm. It is an edition of fifteen and is available to buy from Etsy or directly from me. It is based on a watercolour I did in Paris. I think I will show some of my watercolour and gouache studies here in the near future.
