Calasparra Etching & Drypoint

Two prints I’ve made from our trip to red hot Calasparra in Murcia Spain this June. It was around 35 degrees every day and only started cooling down well into the evening! I have vivid memories of the place because it is so different from the landscape I’m used to. It is the furthest south I’ve been and it is very arrid, almost like desert. My fondest memory was sitting outside a bar looking out across the rocky view as the sun went down.
The first print is another drypoint. It is of a ruined building just outside the development we were staying at.

The next print is an etching using Hard and Soft ground. I’m looking through trees again!
